[:en]These are some recent photos from a shoot done by Pre Marie Japon in Kobe. The White Frill Parashell works so well as a “Wataboshi” which is a traditional Japanese wedding hat worn with a white wedding Kimono called a “Shiromuku”.  I was happily surprised to see how well the Parashell goes with traditional Japanese wedding attire. [:en]Red Pumpkin Umbrella on a Rainy night in Ginza.[:ja]雨夜の銀座にてレッド パンプキン傘[:]

[:en]Recently photographer Minaco Syarima, and musician Yuqi Kokufuda stepped out in Ginza on a very rainy night to do an impromptu photo shoot with a selection of Pumpkin umbrellas. I’m so thrilled with the results. Thank you so much Minaco and Yuqi. That was such a good collaboration! DiCesare Umbrella craftsmanship

[:en]I don’t write about them much but I’d like to thank them now. The craftsmen we work with in Kyoto have been making DiCesare Designs umbrellas and parasols for almost 8 years now. Their techniques have been crucial in developing new items and producing a limited edition series of high quality umbrellas and parasols. Without their combination of experience, pride and creativity, this series would not have been possible. Thank you! Wait till you see the new items they have come up with to be released in the near future![:ja]あまり彼らのことを書くことはないのだが、今さらながらお礼を申し上げたい。京都の職人たちは、ディチェザレデザインの傘と日傘を8年近く作り続けてくれている。彼らの技術は、新しいアイテムを開発し、高品質の傘と日傘の限定版シリーズを生産する上で非常に重要なものでした。彼らの経験、プライド、創造性の組み合わせがなければ、このシリーズは実現しなかったでしょう。ありがとう！近い将来発表される彼らの新アイテムを楽しみに待っていてほしい！[:]

[:en]Rhythm Pumpkin Umbrella in Old Montréal[:ja]オールドモントリオールにてリズム パンプキン雨傘[:]

[:en]Once again I was able to visit my favorite city. Montréal. Every time I go, I find something new to love about this wonderful city. This time was no different. The food was wonderful and the people friendly. While there, Hurricane Irene rolled into town. It was quite the storm. Seeing this as an opportunity, we went out into the streets of old Montréal to do a photo shoot with the Rhythm Pumpkin Umbrellas! The weather conditions were extreme but we got some beautiful shots. The Rhythm Pumpkin Umbella withstood the Hurricane force winds beautifully as well. Elegance under pressure.[:ja]またしても大好きな街を訪れることができた。モントリオールだ。行くたびに、この素晴らしい街の新しい魅力を発見する。今回もそうだった。食べ物は素晴らしく、人々はフレンドリーだった。滞在中、ハリケーン「アイリーン」が街にやってきた。かなりの嵐だった。これを好機ととらえ、私たちはリズムカボチャの傘で写真撮影をするため、モントリオール旧市街に出かけた！極端な天候でしたが、美しい写真が撮れました。リズムパンプキン雨傘はハリケーン級の強風にも見事に耐えた。プレッシャーの中でのエレガンス。　[:]

My good friend Matias Lasarte recently took a series of my umbrellas and parasols out for a photo shoot in Uruguay. I can’t express how happy I am with the results. The pictures bring out the beauty in the items far beyond what I expected. Thanks Matias. The pictures speak for themselves.I’ll be putting them on the gallery soon too!

[:en]This is a good friend of mine, a model and a customer as well. Abe san recently picked up a Sakura Semplice parasol at the Matsuya show and went out with a photographer friend and took some great photos. Look for the shots in the gallery soon!

[:en]Parashell Parasol Umbrellina in Venezia[:ja]ヴェネチアのパラシェル日傘[:]

[:en]At this year’s Carnival in Venice, award-winning costume designer Tanja Shultz-Hess used the Parashell Frill as a headpiece for a jaw-dropping costume called “Umbrellina”. A Kabocha Parasol was also used in the costume. It was wonderful to see the items in Venice with such a fantastical costume.[:ja]今年のヴェネチアのカーニバルで、受賞歴のあるコスチュームデザイナー、タニヤ・シュルツ＝ヘスは、「アンブレリーナ」と呼ばれる衝撃的なコスチュームのヘッドピースにパラシェル・フリルを使用した。かぼちゃのパラソルもこの衣装に使われている。このような幻想的な衣装でベネチアのアイテムを見ることができるのは素晴らしいことだ。[:]
