DiCesare Designs Red 1tone GRANDE Men’s pumpkin umbrella featured in a very romantic Apple Pay TV commercial for Saison Card!
Designer John DiCesare appeared as a guest on the NHK World program “DESIGN TALKS plus,” hosted by Andy Pompilio and Shaula.
While showcasing his actual works in the studio—such as a parasol with a beautiful, asymmetrical, streamlined shape reminiscent of a seashell and a rain umbrella characterized by pumpkin-like curves and textured surfaces—he shared anecdotes about rain and the background behind the creation of his umbrellas.
Designer John DiCesare’s hope is to convey the idea that umbrellas are not merely tools for sheltering from the rain, but also fashion items that bring out the wearer’s individuality and beautifully enhance the cityscape.
DiCecare Designs was recently featured on a segment of Japan’s Asahi BS. “Partner TV” is a design/lifestyle program based on the magazine of the same name.
The program covered the design philosophy and process behind creating Dicecare Design’s collection of parasols and umbrellas.
