Recently I had the chance to give a lecture at Otaru University of Commerce in Hokkaido – 小樽商科大学 called “The Art and Engineering of Umbrellas” as part of the Otaru University of Commerce English Lecture Series. I discussed my early experiences as a sculptor and my current experiences as an umbrella and parasol designer. I went over the developing designs such as the Parashell, Pumpkin Umbrella, Sakura Parasol and also showed some new designs that will be debuting in 2013. I really enjoyed the experience. My thanks go to Shawn Clankie at Otaru University for the invitation.

ディチェザレデザインは最近、日本の朝日BSのコーナーで紹介された。この「パートナー」は、同名の雑誌に基づいたデザイン／ライフスタイル番組である。この番組では、ディチェザレデザインの日傘と雨傘のコレクションを制作する際のデザイン哲学とそのプロセスについて扱われました。

パンプキン日傘とパラシェル日傘が、マリリン・デニスの番組に登場した！番組では、この夏、アウトドアで有害物質を使わずに過ごそうという内容だった。ドナ・ビショップはパンプキン日傘と一緒にポーズをとり、マリリンはこのパンプキン日傘を “次の大物 “と呼んだ！
