I don’t write about them much but I’d like to thank them now. The craftsmen we work with in Kyoto have been making DiCesare Designs umbrellas and parasols for almost 8 years now. Their techniques have been crucial in developing new items and producing a limited edition series of high quality umbrellas and parasols. Without their combination of experience, pride and creativity, this series would not have been possible. Thank you! This wonderful photo was taken on a rainy train platform in Tokyo by a good friend of mine Matias Lasarte. Sharing a Pumpkin umbrella while waiting for a train on a rainy night brings out the romantic in all of us.
DiCesare Designs at Omotessando Hills Event
This is a photo from a little show we participated in from Feb 17th to Feb 19th at Omotessando Hills called “Asobi”. It was a show featuring a lot of up and coming brands. Omotessando Hills is a great place for just such a show. There was even a live painting performance on the opening evening. Great night.
