Thanks to all my friends and customers who came out to the show. It was great seeing some faces I hadn’t met in a while.
Walking through fields of sunflowers in the Italian countryside with the Rose Window Pumpkin Parasol. A perfect parasol / umbrella for just such an occasion.
This Month’s Story magazine in Japan features a cute article on how to beat the Summer monday blues. The article features images of the Kyoto Sakura Parasol and the Natura Pumpkin Parasol. Lately it’s been really hot so these parasols really are a surefire ways to beat the heat!

This month’s Partner magazine features the Kyoto Pumpkin brella Parasol in it’s 2012 Parasol list! The Kyoto Pumpkin parasol is painstakingly made of hand-dyed linen using traditional dying techniques from the Kuriyama workshop in Kyoto. Each one is original and the fabric is absolutely gorgeous.
These are some recent photos from a shoot done by Pre Marie Japon in Kobe. The White Frill Parashell works so well as a “Wataboshi” which is a traditional Japanese wedding hat worn with a white wedding Kimono called a “Shiromuku”. I was happily surprised to see how well the Parashell goes with traditional Japanese wedding attire. Special thanks to Pre Marie Japon for arranging this shoot.
This picture of a woman with a Parashell parasol on a bridge in the park is very elegant. Thank you so much to Cana Fukumaki for taking this lovely photo!
Recently photographer Minaco Syarima, and musician Yuqi Kokufuda stepped out in Ginza on a very rainy night to do an impromptu photo shoot with a selection of Pumpkin umbrellas. I’m so thrilled with the results. Thank you so much Minaco and Yuqi. That was such a good collaboration! I hope we can do something like that again soon!.
