The artisans are currently working on the canopy for this year’s special Kyoto Parasol collaboration item. The unique form of this item requires special attention when making the pattern for the linen fabric that will be used for the Pumpkin Parasol’s canopy.
DiCesare is constantly overwhelmed by the passion and committment to produce these very special items.
This month’s Domani Magazine features a wide selection of DiCesare Designs umbrellas!
Items such as the:
Rhythm 2tone Olive × Greyge
Rhythm UrbanCamo Jungle
Pumpkinbrella Super Mini Pink × Orange
Pumpkinbrella Walker White Dots on Black
All styled with a wonderful selection of apparel for every mood. Quite an exciting issue!

The parashell first made it’s debut at Hanway in Roppongi Hills. This is the place to go if you are looking for a one of a kind umbrella or parasol in the Tokyo area. Great staff and a wide selection for all tastes. Umbrella fanatics shouldn’t miss it.

I’ve being working on this project for more than 12 years now. It all started with a sketch I made as a student in art school. I never let go of the idea, and continued sketching. I then started making maquettes. The 3 dimensional maquettes informed he next series of drawings which then led to the initial prototyping stage.

This is a great photo of the Parashell parasol taken at Cherry Beach in Toronto. I particularly like the way Trina is holding it tilted to the left in a playful way.
